12x Bird's Custard Pods (3 Packs of 4 Pods) Concentrated Custard Sauce. Ready to make custard pods. Make super smooth, no lumps custard every time. Just add milk. Bird's Custard Pods allow you to make super smooth, no lumps custard every time. Easy to use - each pod contains concentrated custard roux which melts evenly into hot milk. Can be made using skimmed, semi-skimmed, whole, coconut, soya or almond milk. Vary the milk quantity for your desired consistency. Add more or less sugar to suit your taste.
Directions Hob
1. Add 1/4 pint of milk, 1/2 tbsp of sugar and a custard pod to a saucepan and heat on medium.
2. Stir with a spoon or whisk to melt the custard pod, once melted increase heat to medium/high and heat, stirring continuously until gently boiling and thickened.
Directions Microwave
1. Add 1/4 pint of milk and 1/2 tbsp of sugar to a jug and heat in an 800W microwave for 1 minute.
2. Add the custard pod and whisk vigorously with a fork until dissolved, reheat in the microwave for a further 1 minute until thickened. Use skimmed, semi-skimmed, whole, coconut, soya or almond milk.
